Houdini : Slime Web Generator
Base layer is the core of this texture. Done using Gradient Dynamic with vertical grayscale map input
Splinters are done with inverted grunge map plugging into Highpass Grayscale to get the edges and controlled through Histogram scan
For our knots, the distance node will find the nearest circle (input) for each pixel and sample the greyscale of that circle.
This method is also used to make voronoi pattern.
Quantizing the gradient circle will result in stepped rings overlayed to get the knot shape.
